Terms of Use

These terms set the conditions for using Riverbank Residents Directory. Accessing or using the reference indicates acceptance; anyone who does not accept them should leave the site.

1. What Riverbank Directory Is

Riverbank Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning current or past Riverbank connections in California. It stores no government records and has no affiliation with a public office, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the reference only for lawful purposes. Neither the pages nor anything reached through them may be used to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft or fraud
  • Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

Riverbank Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 et seq. Information on these pages and results from linked tools are not consumer reports and cannot be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. External Links

Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Riverbank Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, pricing, or data practices.

5. No Warranties

The reference is supplied "as is" and "as available," without warranties. Accuracy, completeness, currency, uninterrupted access, and correct results from an outside portal are not guaranteed.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages resulting from use of the reference or a linked resource, including decisions based on a record found through either.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from misuse of the reference or a breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Copyright protects the original writing, design, logo, and layout. Links and brief attributed quotations are welcome; republishing complete pages or copying the content systematically is not.

9. Changes to These Terms

A revised version may be posted here. Continued use after the revision is posted means the updated terms are accepted.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms or abuses the reference, at the operators' discretion and without advance notice.

11. Governing Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-record requests to California custodians are governed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000-7931.000. California consumer privacy rights may also arise under Civil Code section 1798.100 et seq., subject to that statute's scope and exceptions.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
